Feature & Follow Friday!

This is hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read!!

The Feature today is:

Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

I would have to say I stay away from autobiographies. There is something about reading about someone elses actual life that is not appealing to me. I am sure they are very entertaining, just not for me. I like fiction, I like to be taken to a completely different world where nothing is normal and anything goes. For normalcy, well, I have my life.
      Which genre do you avoid?

  1. I am picky, but I do like some autobiographies. Some read more like fiction to me than nonfiction. I think it just depends on how they are done!

  3. Hi, just stopping by from the FF. I'm a new follower. I don't like to read horror books, I'm just not into getting scared all that much. I'm don't read autobiographies but if it's well written, I might give it a try (: Have a great weekend!!

  5. I tend to be shy about autobiographies because I wonder how much is modified to make the writer look the best--and thus how much is honest?

  6. Hm, avoid at all costs? I'd say Christian fiction. Fortunately, there's none of that in the sections I generally frequent at the library and bookstore. ^.^

  7. Oh, and why? Well, I'm not Christian and reading that kind of fiction makes me roll my eyes at what I basically see as silly drivel. ;)

I too stay away from autobiographies. Read too much of that in college and now I just want to be entertained.
